Ingredients
- 2 pounds mussels, scrubbed and debearded
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup dry white wine
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions

In a large pot, melt butter and olive oil over medium heat. Add garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes, until fragrant.

Add mussels to the pot and toss to coat them in the garlic butter mixture.

Pour in white wine, then cover and cook for 5-7 minutes, or until the mussels open. Discard any mussels that do not open.

Sprinkle with chopped parsley and season with salt and pepper to taste.

Serve the mussels in bowls with the garlic butter sauce poured over the top.
