How To Make Veal Chops Milanese with Sage

Ready in 30 minutes, this Milanese dish is made with thick veal chops that are coated with bread crumbs and sage for a crunchy and earthy Italian dish.

Ingredients

  • 1egg
  • ¼tspsalt
  • tspfresh ground black pepper
  • ¾cupfine dry bread crumbs
  • 1tbspfresh sage,chopped, or 1 tsp dried
  • 20ozveal rib chops,(4 pieces), ½-inch thick
  • 5tbspbutter
  • 1lemon

Instructions

  1. Beat the egg to mix with salt and pepper. Combine the bread crumbs and the sage. Dip the veal chops into the beaten egg and then into the bread crumbs. Shake off the excess bread crumbs.

  2. In a large nonstick frying pan, melt the butter over moderately low heat. Put the coated veal chops in the pan and cook for about 4 minutes until golden. Turn and cook for about 3 minutes longer until golden and just done.

  3. Serve with lemon wedges. Enjoy!
