How To Make Dirty Rice Recipe
A spicy Cajun rice dish with chicken livers, beef, and vegetables.
Serves:
Ingredients
- 1 cup white rice
- 3 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 stalks celery, chopped
- 1 green bell pepper, chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 pound chicken livers, chopped
- 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
Instructions

Cook rice according to package instructions.

Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

Add onion, celery, bell pepper, and garlic. Cook for 5-7 minutes or until vegetables are tender.

Add ground beef and chicken livers. Cook for 10-12 minutes or until beef is browned and livers are cooked through.

Add Cajun seasoning and salt. Stir to combine.

Add chicken broth and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 10-15 minutes or until liquid has been absorbed.

Stir in cooked rice and parsley. Serve hot.
