Ingredients
- 4 pork chops
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 2 cups sauerkraut
- 1 onion, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups flour
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 1 cup milk
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

Season the pork chops with salt and pepper.

Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and sear the pork chops on both sides until browned. Remove from the skillet.

In the same skillet, sauté the onion and garlic until softened.

Add the sauerkraut to the skillet and cook for 5 minutes to combine flavors.

Transfer the sauerkraut mixture to a baking dish and place the pork chops on top.

Cover the baking dish with foil and bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour and 30 minutes.

In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt.

Pour in the melted butter and milk, and stir until a soft dough forms.

Remove the baking dish from the oven and drop spoonfuls of the dumpling dough over the sauerkraut and pork chops.

Return the dish to the oven, uncovered, and bake for an additional 30 minutes or until the dumplings are golden brown and cooked through.
