You don’t know heavenly cheese snacks are until you try these fried cheese curds! These perfectly fried bites are covered in buttermilk and garlic salt.

  • 2lbscheese curds
  • cupsbuttermilk
  • cupsflour
  • 1tspbaking soda
  • 2tspgarlic salt
  • 1egg
  • 6cupsoil,vegetable, canola or peanut oil


  1. Heat oil to 375 degrees F. Use a thermometer and watch carefully.

  2. Whisk together buttermilk, flour, baking soda, garlic salt and egg until smooth.

  3. Coat several cheese curds with batter.

  4. Fry a few at a time, for several seconds, until golden brown.

  5. Drain on paper towel.

  6. Serve immediately and enjoy while fresh!
