Ingredients
- 500g chicken, cut into pieces
- 2 onions, finely chopped
- 3 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1-inch piece of ginger, grated
- 2 tomatoes, chopped
- 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon of turmeric powder
- 2 teaspoons of curry powder
- 1 teaspoon of chili powder
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 2 cloves
- Salt to taste
- Fresh coriander leaves for garnish
Instructions

Heat oil in a large pot and sauté the onions, garlic, and ginger until golden brown.

Add the chicken pieces and cook until they are browned on all sides.

Add the tomatoes and cook for another 2 minutes.

Add the turmeric powder, curry powder, chili powder, cinnamon stick, and cloves. Stir well to coat the chicken with the spices.

Season with salt and pour enough water to cover the chicken.

Reduce the heat, cover the pot, and simmer for 30 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through.

Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with rice or naan bread.
