  • 4 large apples, peeled and chopped
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup rolled oats
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp ground nutmeg
  • ¼ cup butter, melted
  • Vanilla ice cream (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the chopped apples, flour, oats, brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Mix well.

  2. Pour the melted butter over the apple mixture and stir until everything is coated.

  3. Transfer the mixture to a 4-quart crockpot.

  4. Cook on high for 4 hours or on low for 6-8 hours, or until the apples are tender.

  5. Serve hot with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, if desired.
