Italian BBQ Slow Cooked Pork Chops Recipe

This dish is a very different blend of flavors, a great fusion choice! Some may say different isn’t good but we think different about that. Try this recipe with a side of fried asparagus and fluffy basmati rice.

How To Make Italian BBQ Slow Cooked Pork Chops

Slow cooked pork chops for the most tender cut!

  • ¼ cup olive oil
  • 1 cup tomato juice
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 tbsp paprika
  • 1 tbsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • 4 boneless pork chops (thick cut)
  • 2 cups Italian dressing
  • salt and pepper (to taste)
  1. In a large plastic bag, combine pork chops with Italian dressing and let marinate for at least one hour.
  2. In a large bowl, combine olive oil, tomato juice, garlic, paprika, onion powder, oregano and basil.
  3. Stir until mixed thoroughly and pour into slow cooker.
  4. Using a knife, cut little slits into each pork chop on both sides.
  5. Place marinated chops into slow cooker, coat chops with the sauce and then cover.
  6. Cook on high for about 4 hours or on low for about 8 hours, until meat is tender.
  7. Baste chops with sauce periodically while cooking.
