Salmon Baked in Milk with Bay Leaf and Onion Recipe

The salmon here is baked in a generous quantity of flavored milk.

How To Make Salmon Baked in Milk with Bay Leaf and Onion

  • 1 lb salmon fillet (slice into 2-inch thick fillets)
  • Milk
  • Light cream (optional)
  • 5 Bay leaves (torn)
  • 5 oz red onion chunks
  • 1 tbsp Italian seasoning
  • 2 tbsp dried dill
  • Salt & ground black pepper (to taste)

To serve:

  • Tartar sauce
  • Lemon wedges
  • Seasonal vegetables (cooked to your preference)
  1. Preheat your oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Combine italian seasoning & dried dill.
  3. Season an un-oiled baking dish with the dried herb mixture.
  4. Season your salmon with salt & pepper. Place the salmon in the seasoned un-oiled baking dish.
  5. Pour in milk enough to cover ¼ inch of the salmon
  6. Cover the fillets with bay leaves & onions. Season with the remaining herb mixture.
  7. Bake the salmon in the oven for 30 to 45 minutes until it becomes tender. Make sure to baste from time to time
  8. Serve with lemon wedges, tartar sauce, & mixed vegetables.
