  1. In a blender, combine the strawberries, sugar, and lemon juice. Blend until smooth.

  2. Pour the strawberry mixture into a shallow baking dish or metal pan.

  3. Place the dish in the freezer and let it freeze for 30 minutes.

  4. After 30 minutes, remove the dish from the freezer and scrape the mixture with a fork to break up any ice crystals.

  5. Repeat this process every 30 minutes for the next 3 hours, scraping the mixture with a fork each time.

  6. Once the granita has reached a slushy consistency, transfer it to an airtight container and freeze for an additional hour.

  7. Serve the fresh strawberry granita in chilled glasses and garnish with fresh strawberries, if desired.
