Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons malted milk powder
  • Optional toppings: whipped cream, shaved dark chocolate

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine the dark chocolate chips, milk, sugar, cocoa powder, cornstarch, and salt. Whisk until smooth.

  2. Place the saucepan over medium heat and cook, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens and comes to a boil.

  3. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract. Pour the pudding into serving dishes or glasses, and refrigerate for at least 2 hours to set.

  4. In a mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream and malted milk powder until soft peaks form.

  5. Before serving, top each pudding with a dollop of the malted cream and optional toppings like whipped cream and shaved dark chocolate.

  6. Serve chilled and enjoy!
