
How To Make Baked Banana Bread Donuts with Dark Chocolate Glaze
Ditch your store-bought donuts and make your own with these banana bread donuts! Finish off with chocolate drizzle for added chocolatey goodness!

Ingredients
For Banana Bread Donuts:
- ⅓cupgranulated sugar
- 3tbspcanola oil,or melted coconut oil
- 1largeegg
- 1medium banana,ripe, mashed
- 1tsppure vanilla extract
- 2tbspvanilla 0% Greek yogurt,or any vanilla or plain yogurt
- ¼tspsalt
- ¼tspground cinnamon
- ½tspbaking soda
- ¼tspbaking powder
- ¾cupwhole wheat flour,or all-purpose flour, spoon & leveled
For Dark Chocolate Glaze:
- ¼cupsemi-sweet chocolate chips,or dark chocolate chips
- 1tsplight corn syrup
- 1tbspunsalted butter
- ⅔chocolate sprinkles,optional
Instructions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Spray donut pan with nonstick spray. Whisk together the egg and sugar for about 4 minutes until light in color. Stir in the banana, oil, vanilla, and yogurt.

In a separate bowl, mix together the salt, cinnamon, baking powder, baking soda, and flour. Slowly pour dry mixture into wet mixture. Stir together until just combined; do not overmix.

Using a piping bag or a ziplock bag with the corner cut off, pipe the batter carefully into the prepared donut pan making sure each cavity is only ⅔ full.

Bake for 10 to 12 minutes. Donuts should be fluffy and should spring back when touched.

Allow cooling slightly for about 5 minutes before removing from pan.

While the donuts are baking or cooling, melt the chocolate chips, corn syrup, and butter together in a small bowl in the microwave for about 30 seconds.

After the donuts have cooled, dip the tops into the chocolate glaze and sprinkle with chocolate sprinkles. Allow cooling on a cooling rack.
