Ingredients
- 1 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
- ⅓ cup granulated sugar
- 1 ½ tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- ½ tsp ground nutmeg
- ¼ tsp salt
- ½ cup apple cider
- 1 egg
- ¼ cup unsweetened applesauce
- 2 tbsp melted butter
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a donut pan.

In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the apple cider, egg, applesauce, melted butter, and vanilla extract.

Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.

Spoon the batter into the greased donut pan, filling each cavity about ⅔ full.

Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the donuts comes out clean.

Remove from the oven and let the donuts cool in the pan for a few minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.
