How To Make Original Italian Wine Cookies

Munch on boozy bites of these crisp and sweet wine cookies for a unique snack! It’s an easy-to-make sweet treat done in under 30 minutes.

  • 3cupsall-purpose flour
  • 1tspbaking powder
  • 3tbspwhite sugar
  • 1cupdry red wine
  • ½cupvegetable oil
  • cupgranulated sugar,for decoration


  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

  2. In a large bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and sugar. Add the wine and oil. Mix with a large fork and then with hands

  3. Roll small pieces of dough between hands to make “logs” then shape into circles. The circles should be no bigger than 2-inches in diameter. Roll the cookies in extra sugar and place on the cookie sheet.

  4. Bake for 25 minutes or until slightly brown.

  5. Serve and enjoy!
