
How To Make Cherry-Cornflake Cookies

For Cherry-Cornflake Cookies:
- 2¼cupsall-purpose flour
- 2tspbaking powder
- ½tspsalt
- ¾cupbutter,softened
- 1cupwhite sugar
- 2eggs
- â…›cupmilk
- 1tspvanilla extract
- 1cupwalnuts,chopped
- 1cupraisins,chopped
- â…“cupcandied cherries,finely chopped
- 1â…“cupscornflakes cereal,crushed
For Topping:
- 20candied cherries,quartered
Instructions

Mix together flour, baking powder, and salt then set aside.

In a large mixing bowl, beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs and beat well.

Stir in milk and vanilla, then add flour mixture. Combine well. Add nuts, raisins, and chopped cherries.

Shape dough into balls using level tablespoon as measure. Roll in crushed cornflakes. Place 2-inches apart on greased cookie sheets. Top with cherry quarter.

Bake at 375 degrees F for approximately 10 minutes until lightly browned. Remove immediately from sheets and cool on wire racks.
