Serves:
Ingredients
- 4 scoops of vanilla ice cream
- 1 cup of crushed cornflakes
- 2 teaspoons of cinnamon
- 2 tablespoons of sugar
- 2 eggs
- Vegetable oil for frying
- Whipped cream (optional)
- Chocolate sauce (optional)
- Caramel sauce (optional)
Instructions
-
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and place the scoops of ice cream on it. Freeze for 15 minutes.
-
In a shallow dish, mix together the crushed cornflakes, cinnamon, and sugar.
-
In a separate dish, beat the eggs.
-
Roll each scoop of ice cream in the cornflake mixture until fully coated. Place them back on the baking sheet and freeze for another 15 minutes.
-
Heat vegetable oil in a deep skillet or pot over medium-high heat.
-
Carefully place each coated ice cream ball into the hot oil using a slotted spoon or tongs, and fry for about 30 seconds to 1 minute, until golden brown. Make sure to fry one at a time to prevent them from sticking together.
-
Remove the fried ice cream balls from the oil using a slotted spoon and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil.
-
Serve immediately with whipped cream, chocolate sauce, and caramel sauce if desired.
