Mix in some peanut butter, chocolate, and butter and you’ve got the best chocolate peanut butter saltine toffee for snacks or family gatherings.

Ingredients

  • salted saltine crackers,about 35 to 40 crackers
  • 1cupunsalted butter
  • 1cupbrown sugar,dark or light, packed
  • 6tbspcreamy peanut butter
  • cupssemi sweet milk,or white chocolate chips
  • 1cupm&ms and sprinkles,crushed

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Generously spray a half-sheet pan with cooking spray or line with a silicone baking mat or parchment paper. Set aside.

  2. Stirring lightly, bring butter and brown sugar to a boil in a large saucepan. As it begins to boil, leave it alone without stirring for 3 minutes. Pour boiling mixture evenly over crackers, then bake for 5 minutes.

  3. As toffee bakes, melt peanut butter in the microwave. Remove toffee from the oven, then pour peanut butter over top. Smooth it into an even layer.

  4. Immediately sprinkle chocolate chips on top, then return the pan to the oven for 1 minute to help chocolate chips melt.

  5. Remove from the oven and spread chocolate chips into one melted chocolate layer. Top with M&Ms.

  6. Refrigerate toffee for 2 hours. Once set, break into pieces.
