How To Make Spiced Lamb with Bulgur & Tahini Dressing

  • 500g lamb, cubed
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp coriander
  • 1 cup bulgur
  • 2 cups water
  • 1/4 cup fresh mint leaves, chopped
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • tahini dressing:
  • 1/4 cup tahini
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp water
  • 1 clove of garlic, minced
  • Salt to taste


  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add lamb cubes and cook until browned on all sides. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

  2. In the same skillet, add diced onion and minced garlic. Sauté until onions are soft and translucent.

  3. Add cumin, paprika, and coriander to the skillet. Stir well to coat the onions and garlic with the spices.

  4. Return the cooked lamb to the skillet and mix well with the spiced onion mixture. Cook for another 5 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

  5. In a separate pot, bring water to a boil. Add bulgur and reduce heat to low. Cover and simmer for 15-20 minutes until the bulgur is tender and all the liquid is absorbed.

  6. Fluff the cooked bulgur with a fork and stir in the chopped mint and parsley. Season with salt and pepper.

  7. In a small bowl, whisk together tahini, lemon juice, water, minced garlic, and salt, until smooth and creamy.

  8. To serve, divide the spiced lamb and bulgur mixture onto plates. Drizzle with tahini dressing.

  9. Garnish with additional fresh herbs if desired.
