How To Make Sbarro’s Calzone Recipe
A delicious Italian dish that is stuffed with cheese and your favorite toppings and then baked to golden perfection.
Serves:
Ingredients
- 1 lb pizza dough
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh basil
- 1 egg, beaten
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup your favorite toppings (such as cooked sausage, peppers, and onions)
Instructions

Preheat oven to 425°F.

Roll out pizza dough into a large oval or rectangle shape.

In a large bowl, mix together ricotta cheese, shredded mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, parsley, basil, egg, salt, and pepper.

Spread the cheese mixture onto half of the pizza dough, leaving a border around the edges.

Add your favorite toppings to the cheese mixture.

Fold the other half of the pizza dough over the toppings and press the edges together to seal.

Use a fork to prick a few holes in the top of the calzone.

Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.

Let cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
