How To Make Perfect Every Time Pizza or Calzone Dough

This calzone dough is made with basic ingredients and needs a little kneading. It bakes into a soft and delicious crust for both calzone and pizza!

  • ½cuplukewarm water
  • .25ozactive dry yeast,(1 can)
  • ½cupwater
  • 2tbspolive oil
  • 2tbsphoney
  • ½tspsalt
  • 3cupsall purpose flour


  1. Mix ½ cup lukewarm water and yeast together in a bowl. Let stand for about 5 minutes until the yeast softens and begins to form a creamy foam.

  2. Combine ½ cup water, olive oil, honey, and salt in a separate bowl; add 1 cup flour and mix well.

  3. Mix yeast mixture into the flour mixture. Add remaining flour, 1 cup at a time, until dough is well combined.

  4. Knead dough on a floured work surface fr about 8 minutes until the dough is soft, smooth, and elastic. Roll dough into 4 calzone shapes.
