Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken breast, cubed
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tsp thyme
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, sauté chicken, onion, and garlic until chicken is no longer pink.

  2. Add chicken broth and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes.

  3. Add heavy cream and thyme. Season with salt and pepper.

  4. In a separate bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and salt. Stir in milk and melted butter to form a dough.

  5. Drop spoonfuls of the dough into the simmering chicken mixture. Cover and cook for 15 minutes.

  6. Serve hot.
