How To Make Old Country Buffet Macaroni and Cheese Recipe
A classic, creamy and cheesy macaroni and cheese recipe straight from Old Country Buffet.

Ingredients
- 1 lb elbow macaroni
- 4 tbsp butter
- 4 tbsp flour
- 2 cups whole milk
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded American cheese
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
Instructions

Cook the macaroni according to package directions and drain.

In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.

Whisk in the flour and cook for 1-2 minutes until golden brown.

Gradually whisk in the milk and heavy cream until the mixture is smooth.

Bring to a simmer and cook, whisking constantly, for 5-7 minutes until thickened.

Stir in the cheddar cheese, American cheese, salt, and black pepper until the cheese is melted and the mixture is smooth.

Add the cooked macaroni to the cheese sauce and stir to combine.
