How To Make Katie Lee’s Chocolate Chip Cookies

Serves:

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.

  3. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract.

  4. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.

  5. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet until well-combined.

  6. Fold in the chocolate chips.

  7. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a lined baking sheet.

  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until lightly golden brown around the edges.

  9. Let cool for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
