How To Make In-N-Out Animal Style Burger Casserole Recipe

Enjoy the deliciousness of In-N-Out Burger in casserole form with layers of beef, cheese, caramelized onions and special sauce!

Serves:

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 large onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 8 slices American cheese
  • 1/3 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tbsp sweet pickle relish
  • 1/2 tsp white vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp sugar
  • 1/4 tsp paprika
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp onion powder
  • 4 cups cooked white rice

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.

  2. In a skillet, cook ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.

  3. Season cooked ground beef with garlic powder, onion powder, salt and pepper. Set aside.

  4. In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add thinly sliced onions and cook until caramelized, about 15 minutes.

  5. In a small bowl, mix together mayonnaise, ketchup, sweet pickle relish, white vinegar, sugar, paprika, garlic powder and onion powder to make the special sauce. Set aside.

  6. In a 9×13 inch baking dish, layer cooked white rice on the bottom.

  7. Then add a layer of cooked ground beef, followed by a layer of caramelized onions and a layer of American cheese.

  8. Spread half of the special sauce over the cheese layer.

  9. Repeat layers once more, starting with the rice and ending with the special sauce.

  10. Bake in preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

  11. Serve hot and enjoy!
