Ingredients
- 2 cups of all-purpose flour
- 2 tbsp of baking powder
- 1 tsp of salt
- 1/2 tsp of baking soda
- 1/4 cup of vegetable shortening
- 1 cup of buttermilk
- 8 pieces of Church’s Chicken
Instructions

Preheat oven to 450°F.

In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, salt, and baking soda.

Cut in vegetable shortening until it forms pea-sized crumbles.

Add buttermilk and stir until just combined.

On a floured surface, knead the dough a few times and roll out to half an inch thickness.

Cut out biscuits with a biscuit cutter or a glass.

Place biscuits on a lined baking sheet and brush tops with melted butter.
