Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. In a medium-sized bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.

  3. In a separate large bowl, cream together softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.

  4. Mix in egg and vanilla extract.

  5. Add dry ingredients to wet mixture and stir until fully combined.

  6. Fold in chocolate chips.

  7. Scoop small balls of dough onto prepared baking sheet.

  8. Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until edges are lightly golden brown.

  9. Let cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
