How To Make Aunt Jemima’s Buttermilk Biscuits Recipe
Fluffy and buttery buttermilk biscuits that melt in your mouth!
Serves:
Ingredients
- 2 cups of Aunt Jemima’s self-rising flour
- 4 tbsp of unsalted butter, chilled
- 1 cup of buttermilk
Instructions

Preheat oven to 450°F.

Cut butter into small pieces and place in the freezer for a few minutes.

In a large bowl, mix the flour and chilled butter with a pastry cutter or fork, until it resembles coarse crumbs.

Add buttermilk to the bowl and mix gently until just combined. Do not overmix.

Scoop the dough onto a floured surface and knead gently. Then pat the dough to a 1-inch thickness.

Cut out biscuits with a floured biscuit cutter.

Place the biscuits onto a greased baking sheet and bake for 12 minutes or until lightly golden brown.
