Bread is a breakfast staple almost everywhere in the world but it’s not always the healthiest. Wheat bread, sourdough, and even rye bread can serve as alternatives, but they don’t share the same taste and texture as white bread. The revered white bread is moist, aromatic, and has a delicious baked note. Although, this is because of the handfuls of sugar and salt added by manufacturers. It takes away the nutritious parts of the bread, which is dangerous when you plan to pile meats and dairy in between. Our Salt-Free White Bread recipe takes away the salt but retains the same great taste.

This recipe is a small step to a healthier, salt-free diet especially for those who experience high blood pressure and heart problems. And, all you’ll need is a bread machine. If you’re fretting about buying a bread machine just to make bread, worry not! It’s actually cheaper than a stand mixer plus you literally just throw the ingredients inside. With the easy method of making healthier bread at home, you’ll definitely be putting your investment to good use!

This recipe serves as a perfect canvas where you can experiment with various herbs and spices to further enhance its taste. And if you loathe the dryness of wholemeal bread, salt-free white bread is also the ideal alternative for a healthier sandwich. Commonly Asked Questions

Can I use an oven to make this salt-free white bread?

Yes, you can! First, after combining the ingredients from our recipe and kneading them into a dough, cover the dough for around 1 hour to let it rise. Preheat your oven to 425 degrees F and bake the dough for around 30 minutes.

Do I have to use bread flour?

Not at all! You can use all-purpose flour and even wheat flour as an alternative. The reason we’re using bread flour for this recipe is that it produces more gluten as compared to other flours. This results in a chewier and denser loaf.
