How To Make Bread Machine Bagel Recipe
Delicious bagels made easily with a bread machine.
Serves:
Ingredients
- 1 cup warm water
- 2 1/2 cups bread flour
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast
- 1 egg, beaten
- Sesame seeds or poppy seeds (optional)
Instructions

Add water, flour, sugar, oil, salt, and yeast to bread machine pan in the order recommended by the manufacturer.

Select the dough cycle and start the machine.

When the cycle is complete, remove the dough and divide into 8 equal portions.

Form each portion into a circle and let rest for 10 minutes.

Preheat oven to 425F.

Bring a large pot of water to a boil.

Carefully add bagels to the water and boil for 1 minute, flipping halfway through.

Remove bagels with a slotted spoon and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Brush each bagel with egg wash and sprinkle with sesame seeds or poppy seeds if desired.

Bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
