Ingredients
- 1 lb ground lamb
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 carrot, diced
- 1 celery stalk, diced
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
- 1 cup frozen peas
- 1 cup beef or vegetable broth
- 1 tbsp tomato paste
- 2 cups mashed potatoes
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Chopped parsley, for garnish
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

In a large skillet, brown the ground lamb over medium-high heat. Remove excess fat, if necessary.

Add the onion, garlic, carrot, and celery to the skillet. Cook until vegetables are softened, about 5 minutes.

Stir in the cumin, paprika, cinnamon, and cayenne pepper (if using). Cook for another 2 minutes.

Add the frozen peas, broth, and tomato paste. Bring to a simmer and let cook for 5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Transfer the lamb mixture to a baking dish. Spread the mashed potatoes over the top, making sure to cover the entire dish.

Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the potatoes are golden brown and the filling is bubbly.

Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
