Ingredients

  • 2 cups quince, peeled, cored, and sliced
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup oats
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
  • Vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for serving (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. In a bowl, combine quince slices, granulated sugar, and lemon juice. Mix well and set aside.

  3. In a separate bowl, combine flour, oats, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Add the cold cubed butter and using your fingers, mix until crumbly.

  4. Place the quince mixture in a tart pan and spread evenly.

  5. Sprinkle the crumble mixture over the quince.

  6. Bake for 45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the quince is tender.

  7. Allow the tart to cool slightly before serving.

  8. Serve with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream, if desired.
