How To Make Bison Philly Cheesesteak Recipe

A delicious, hearty sandwich filled with juicy bison meat, peppers, onions, and melted cheese.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. Bison flank steak, thinly sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 yellow onion, sliced
  • 4 hoagie rolls
  • 4 slices of provolone cheese
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add olive oil and thinly sliced bison steak. Season with garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Cook until browned on both sides (about 5-7 minutes).

  2. Add sliced bell peppers and onions to the skillet, and cook until vegetables are softened and tender (about 3-4 minutes).

  3. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Lay hoagie rolls open and place a slice of provolone cheese on one side of each roll.

  4. Once the vegetables are cooked, place the bison steak and vegetables onto the rolls. Top with another slice of provolone cheese.

  5. Bake in the oven at 350°F until the cheese is melted and bubbly (about 5-8 minutes).

  6. Serve hot and enjoy!
