Whip up a strong and flavorful batch of gorgonzola sauce for your next pasta meal! It has a robust taste from the sake to give you full-bodied flavors.

Ingredients

  • cupsake
  • 2tbspunsalted butter
  • 1garlic clove,minced
  • cupheavy whipping cream
  • 2tspbasil
  • 2tspparsley
  • salt and ground black pepper,to taste
  • ¼cupgorgonzola cheese,crumbled
  • 1tbspparmesan cheese,grated

Instructions

  1. Combine the sake, butter, and garlic into a saucepan over medium heat.

  2. Cook and stir for 3 minutes, until the mixture has thickened and reduced in volume by one half.

  3. Add the cream to the sake mixture, then stir for 3 minutes, until reduced by one fourth.

  4. Season with basil, parsley, salt, and pepper.

  5. Stir the gorgonzola cheese and parmesan cheese slowly into the sake mixture.

  6. Simmer and stir continuously for 3 minutes, until smooth.

  7. Simmer for 5 more minutes, until the flavors have combined.

  8. Serve over pasta, and enjoy!
