  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 3 tbsp vegan butter, softened
  • 1/3 cup non-dairy milk
  • Sliced almonds
  • Ketchup or vegan red sauce, for blood


  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F.

  2. In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and garlic powder.

  3. Add the vegan butter and use a pastry blender or a fork to cut it into the dry ingredients until the mixture resembles coarse sand.

  4. Add the non-dairy milk and stir with a wooden spoon or a spatula until a dough is formed.

  5. Divide the dough into 8 equal pieces.

  6. Roll each piece into a log that’s about 4 inches long and 3/4 inch thick.

  7. Use a knife to create knuckles and wrinkles on the dough to resemble fingers.

  8. Use a small amount of non-dairy milk to attach sliced almonds to the tip of each finger to resemble nails.

  9. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until golden brown.

  10. Serve the witch finger breadsticks with ketchup or vegan red sauce for a spooky effect.
