  • 4 medium-sized potatoes, peeled and cut into cubes
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1 teaspoon curry powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons chopped cilantro leaves


  1. Heat vegetable oil in a large pan over medium heat.

  2. Add cumin seeds and let them sizzle for a few seconds until fragrant.

  3. Add the cubed potatoes to the pan and stir well to coat them with the oil and spices.

  4. Sprinkle curry powder, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt over the potatoes.

  5. Stir everything together and cook for about 20-25 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender and golden brown, stirring occasionally.

  6. Garnish with chopped cilantro leaves before serving.
