  • 4 flat iron steaks (6 oz each)
  • 2 tsp olive oil
  • 2 tsp kosher salt
  • 1 tsp freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp dried oregano


  1. Preheat your grill or grill pan to high heat.

  2. Rub each flat iron steak with olive oil, then season with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, paprika, and dried oregano, making sure to evenly coat each side.

  3. Place the steaks on the grill and cook for 4-6 minutes per side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness is achieved.

  4. Remove the steaks from the grill and let them rest for 5 minutes before serving.

  5. Slice the steaks against the grain and serve hot.
