How To Make Cabbage Soup with Chicken and Pork

This belly-filling bowl of cabbage soup is loaded with tender pieces of chicken and pork. Cook up a batch in just an hour for a hearty dinner meal!

Ingredients

  • 3medium carrots,chopped
  • 2leeks,whites only
  • 1cabbage head,chopped
  • 1yellow pepper,chopped
  • 15ozchicken breasts
  • 6ozlean pork,like pork loin
  • 2garlic cloves
  • 2bay leaves
  • ¼tspcumin
  • 1.5ozbrandy
  • 8cupswater
  • 1Knorr chicken bullion
  • salt
  • pepper

Instructions

  1. Chop the pork and chicken into small chunks.

  2. In a large pot, combine the pork, chicken, water, cumin, salt, and pepper, then boil for 15 minutes on medium heat.

  3. Add the carrots, leeks, cabbage, yellow pepper, garlic, bay leaves, brandy, water, and chicken bullion.

  4. Reduce to low, then cover and simmer for 45 minutes.

  5. Serve warm, and enjoy!
