Smoked sausage stackers made with roasted Brussels sprouts and sweet shallots are a very simple dish that is bursting with sweet, tangy, and smoky flavors.

  • 8ozHillshire Farm® Rope Smoked Sausage,cut into 1-inch coins
  • 8ozbrussels sprouts,halved lengthwise
  • 8small shallots,peeled and halved lengthwise
  • 3tbspolive oil
  • ¼cuphoney
  • ¼cupcoarse grained mustard
  • 1tbspapple cider vinegar
  • ½tspblack pepper


  1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees F.

  2. Toss sausage, Brussels sprouts, and shallots with oil and thread onto 4-inch skewers. Place on a foil-lined baking sheet. Bake in the preheated oven for about 7 to 8 minutes until vegetables are tender.

  3. Preheat broiler. Broil for about 2 to 3 minutes until caramelized.

  4. Meanwhile, whisk together honey, mustard, vinegar, and pepper. Brush skewers with ⅓ of the honey mixture.

  5. Broil for about 1 minute. Serve skewers with the remaining sauce.
