How To Make Shrimp Embrochette

Shrimp embrochette is an irresistible grilled appetizer that’s made by stuffing shrimps with crabmeat and cheese then wrapping them in bacon.

  • 6largeshrimp,peeled, deveined and chopped
  • 1cupdry bread crumbs
  • 6ozcrabmeat,drained
  • 1jalapeno pepper,seeded and minced
  • 1cuppepperjack cheese,shredded
  • ½cupcheddar cheese,shredded
  • ½cupolive oil
  • garlic salt,to taste
  • 40largeshrimp,peeled, deveined and butterflied
  • 20thickslices bacon,cut in half


  1. In a medium bowl, mix together the 6 chopped shrimp, bread crumbs, crabmeat, jalapeno pepper, pepperjack cheese, Cheddar cheese, olive oil and garlic salt.

  2. Preheat the oven’s broiler.

  3. Lay the bacon strips out on a clean work surface. Squeeze a small handful of the crab mixture tightly.

  4. Stuff it into a butterflied shrimp, and wrap with bacon. Secure with two toothpicks.

  5. Place the shrimp on a roasting pan, or cookie sheet.

  6. Broil shrimp for about 10 minutes, or until the bacon is crisped, then turn and broil on the other side.
