  • ¼cupwater
  • tspbaking powder
  • 2cupsturkey,cooked, shredded
  • ½cupall purpose flour
  • 1egg
  • 1pinchsalt and ground black pepper,to taste
  • 1tbspvegetable oil,or as needed


  1. Stir the water and baking powder together in a bowl; the mixture should foam.

  2. Mix the turkey, flour, egg, salt, and black pepper into water and baking powder. Form the mixture into bite-size nuggets.

  3. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat. Fry the nuggets in the hot vegetable oil for 5 to 8 minutes per side until golden brown.
