How To Make Salmon with Black Bean Garlic Sauce

Our salmon recipe loaded with Chinese spices is just what you need for a more seasoned meal! It’s cooked in a black bean garlic sauce for a new flavor.

Ingredients

  • 1tspolive oil
  • 1dashsesame oil
  • 2garlic clovesminced
  • 1tbspfresh gingerjulienned
  • 1tbspblack bean garlic sauce
  • 1tspred pepper flakes
  • ½cupchicken broth
  • 4ozsalmon fillets
  • Salt and pepperto taste

Instructions

  1. Begin heating water in the bottom of a steamer pot.

  2. Heat the olive oil and sesame oil in a saucepan over medium heat.

  3. Saute the garlic and ginger for 1 minute.

  4. Stir in the black bean garlic sauce and red pepper flakes.

  5. Cook for 5 minutes.

  6. Remove from heat, then stir in the chicken broth.

  7. Set aside.

  8. Rinse the salmon, then pat dry.

  9. Season each side lightly with salt and pepper.

  10. Place the salmon in a small shallow pan.

  11. Spoon the black bean mixture over the salmon.

  12. Place the salmon in steamer pot over boiling water.

  13. Steam for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork.

  14. Serve over rice, and enjoy!
