Cut down on carbs with this open-faced tuna sandwich! It’s a healthy sandwich loaded with veggies and avocado for a lighter meal.

  • 5ozalbacore tuna,(1 can), in water, drained
  • ¼cupcarrots,minced
  • ¼cupcelery,minced
  • 1tbspred onion,minced
  • 1tbspHellman’s Light mayonnaise,or greek yogurt
  • 1tspred wine vinegar
  • salt and pepper,to taste
  • 3multi-grain bread slices,toasted
  • 6tomato slices,thin
  • 3romaine lettuce leaves
  • ½medium haas avocado,thinly sliced
  • ½ozalfalfa sprouts


  1. Combine the tuna with the minced carrots, celery, red onion, mayonnaise, vinegar, salt and pepper.

  2. Place the lettuce on toasted bread, then top with tomato, tuna, avocado and alfalfa sprouts.

  3. Serve, and enjoy!
