The combination of green olives, almonds and capers in addition to the usual ingredients in tuna salad makes this recipe exceptionally good.

The usual tuna salad made extra with green onions, almonds, and capers.

Ingredients

  • 12 oz tuna chunks in water, canned, drained and flaked
  • 2 tbsp green onions, chopped
  • ¼ cup celery, diced
  • ¼ cup green olives, pimento-stuffed, chopped
  • 2 tbsp capers, chopped
  • ¼ cup almonds, slivered or flaked, toasted
  • 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • ¼ cup sour cream
  • Salt and ground black pepper , to taste

To serve:

  • lettuce leaves  
  • croissant

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine tuna, green onions, celery, green olives, capers and almonds.

  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, sour cream, and Worcestershire sauce.

  3. Blend together the dressing and tuna mixture.

  4. Season with salt and pepper to taste and adjust accordingly.

  5. Assemble roughly ¼ cup tuna on top of lettuce and croissant or any bread of choice. Serve and enjoy!
