How To Make Instant Pot Ribs from Frozen

Ingredients

  • 2 racks of frozen pork ribs
  • 1 cup of beef or chicken broth
  • 1/4 cup of your favorite BBQ sauce
  • 1 tbsp of brown sugar
  • 1 tsp of smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp of garlic powder
  • 1 tsp of onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp of black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp of salt

Instructions

  1. Place the trivet in the Instant Pot and add the broth.

  2. Rub the ribs with a mixture of brown sugar, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and salt.

  3. Place the seasoned ribs on top of the trivet, bone side down.

  4. Close the Instant Pot and set the valve to sealing.

  5. Set the Instant Pot to manual mode and cook on high pressure for 45 minutes.

  6. Once the cooking time is done, let the pressure release naturally for 10 minutes, then do a quick release.

  7. Carefully remove the ribs from the Instant Pot and place them on a baking sheet.

  8. Brush the ribs with BBQ sauce and broil in the oven for 5 minutes until the sauce is slightly caramelized.

  9. Serve the Instant Pot ribs hot with additional BBQ sauce on the side.
