How To Make New York-Style Pizza Dough

Ingredients
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp instant yeast
- 1 cup warm water
- 2 tbsp olive oil

In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, salt, and instant yeast.

Gradually add warm water and olive oil to the dry ingredients. Mix until a rough dough forms.

Transfer the dough onto a lightly floured surface and knead for 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.

Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for 1-2 hours or until doubled in size.

Preheat the oven to 475°F (245°C) and place a pizza stone or baking sheet in the oven.

Punch down the dough and divide it into 4 equal portions. Roll out each portion into a 12-inch circle.

Transfer the rolled dough onto a pizza peel or parchment paper-lined baking sheet.

Add your desired toppings and bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until the crust is golden brown and crispy.
