How To Make Easy Tomato Pasta Recipe

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces of pasta
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 3 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 1 can (14 ounces) of diced tomatoes
  • 1 teaspoon of dried basil
  • 1/2 teaspoon of dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Grated Parmesan cheese for serving
  • Fresh basil leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and diced onion. Cook until the onion is translucent and fragrant.

  3. Add the diced tomatoes, dried basil, and dried oregano to the skillet. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Cook for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  4. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to coat evenly in the tomato sauce. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes to heat the pasta through.

  5. Serve the tomato pasta hot, garnished with grated Parmesan cheese and fresh basil leaves.
