How To Make Arrabbiata Sauce
Spicy and flavorful tomato sauce with a hint of red pepper flakes, perfect for pasta dishes.
Serves:
Ingredients
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tsp red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
- 1 can (14 oz) crushed tomatoes
- 1/2 tsp dried oregano
- 1/2 tsp dried basil
- 1/2 tsp sugar
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Fresh basil leaves, for garnish (optional)
Instructions

Heat olive oil in a large saucepan over medium heat. Add minced garlic and red pepper flakes. Cook for 1-2 minutes until garlic is fragrant.

Stir in crushed tomatoes, dried oregano, dried basil, sugar, salt, and pepper. Bring to a simmer and let it cook for 20-25 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Taste and adjust seasoning if needed. If the sauce is too thick, add a splash of water.

Serve the Arrabbiata sauce over cooked pasta of your choice. Garnish with fresh basil leaves, if desired.
