How To Make BBQ Bacon Meatballs

Serve a winning appetizer with these bacon meatballs brushed with barbecue sauce, then baked. This dish is ready in under 30 minutes!

Ingredients

  • 2stripsbacon,diced
  • ¼cuponion,diced
  • 1clovegarlic,minced
  • 8ozground sirloin,(85/15)
  • ¼cupdry bread crumbs
  • 2tbspfresh parsley,minced
  • ½tsppaprika
  • ½tspkosher salt
  • ½tspblack pepper
  • 1egg,beaten
  • ½cupbarbecue sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Coat a broiler pan with nonstick spray.

  2. Cook bacon in a skillet for about 4 minutes until starting to crisp. Transfer to a paper-towel-lined plate. Pour off drippings from skillet, saving 1 tablespoon.

  3. Sauté onion in drippings over medium heat for about 3 minutes until softened. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute.

  4. Combine ground sirloin, bacon, onion mixture, bread crumbs, parsley, paprika, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Stir in beaten egg.

  5. Form mixture into 1-inch meatballs and place on prepared broiler pan.

  6. Brush meatballs with barbecue sauce.

  7. Bake meatballs for about 10 minutes until fully cooked.

  8. Top with more barbecue sauce.
