How To Make Hamburger Pie

This easy recipe turns your favorite comfort food into a filling and loaded hamburger pie! It’s loaded with a beef, and topped with a cheesy crust.

  • 1lblean ground beef
  • 1small onion,finely chopped
  • 2garlic cloves,minced
  • ½cupketchup
  • cupscheddar cheese,shredded
  • ½cupall-purpose flour
  • 1tspbaking powder
  • ½tbspcanola oil
  • 1cupmilk
  • 2eggs


  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Spray a 9-inch pie plate with non-stick spray.

  2. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef, onion, and garlic together for about 10 minutes until fully cooked.

  3. Stir in ketchup and 1 cup of cheddar cheese. Pour meat mixture into prepared pie plate.

  4. In a bowl, mix together flour, canola oil, baking powder, milk, and eggs. Pour over meat mixture.

  5. Sprinkle remaining Cheddar cheese evenly over the top.

  6. Bake for about 30 minutes, until the crust is set or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.

  7. Serve and enjoy.
