How To Make Brussel Sprouts Gratin

This brussels sprouts gratin is sautéed until tender, poured with heavy cream, then baked and topped cheeses. It’s a sure way to enjoy your veggies!

Ingredients

  • 2lbsBrussel sprouts,halved lengthwise
  • 1tbspolive oil
  • salt and pepper,to taste
  • cupheavy cream
  • ¼tsponion powder
  • 1⅓cupssharp cheddar cheese,shredded, divided
  • ¼cupParmesan cheese,shredded

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.

  2. Season the brussels sprouts with salt and pepper.

  3. Cook in a skillet over medium-high heat for 5 to 6 minutes or until tender, crisp and slightly browned.

  4. Pour the brussels sprouts into an 8×8-inch dish.

  5. In the same pan, heat the heavy cream, onion powder, salt and pepper.

  6. Reduce the heat, then let simmer for 2 minutes.

  7. Remove from the heat, then whisk in the parmesan cheese and 1 cup of cheddar cheese. Pour the cheese over the brussels sprouts.

  8. Top with the remaining ⅓ cup cheddar cheese.

  9. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until browned and bubbly.

  10. Serve warm, and enjoy!
